Free Home Decorating Tips - Are you looking for a great way to renovate your home decor but you don’t have the money to hire an interior decorator? Don’t worry; you can do it yourself with free home decorating tips!

Remember when it comes to home decor that more money doesn’t always equal better. There are many fantastic things that you can do without spending any money at all. In addition, you can get hints, tips and advice on decorating your home without spending a lot of money. One of the first steps you can take to do this is to go to your local library. Not only can you find tons of great books to check out but you can also find old copies of many home decorating magazines and more. This is a fabulous way to get free home decorating tips.

Here are some more tips for you:

1. Make the old new again- One thing that you see often on home décor or design shows like Trading Spaces where people are designing on a budget is the renovation of the old into something new. This not only works for great items in your home but also for things that you pick up at a yard sale, thrift shop or antique store. You can take an old table, desk, chair, bookshelf or virtually any other type of furniture you can think of and renovate it with some sanding, a new paint job or new fabric and make it like new again. This can be done for pennies on the dollar and in some cases, even completely free.

2. Use handmade items- Handmade décor is both cheap and unique. It’s very inexpensive and adds a personal touch to the room you are decorating. Something is just that much more special when it has been carefully constructed by hand by someone you care about. You can get directions for creating homemade décor items both online and from books and magazines.

3. Paint- A fresh coat of paint can make a big difference in a room and it’s typically pretty expensive when you do it yourself. All you need to do is buy the paint and maybe just a few supplies such as brushes and painting tape and you are good to go.

4. Texture Your Walls- Another great idea is to add some texture to your wall. You can do this with wall hangings, blankets or quilts, etc.

5. Plants Galore! – There are many great and inexpensive ways you can use plants and flowers to spruce up any room in your home, even the bathroom.

6. Stop by Goodwill- Visit the Goodwill and other locations to get great items for less money. Even that once in a while “rare” find is worth it.

If you work from home, do not save money or to commute to wear special clothing. In addition, you may find that you are more productive when you can choose the hours optimally. A possible disadvantage is the additional amount of energy consumption in households. Here are some tips on how to save energy and money made when working from home.

Restart approved by the purchase of Energy Star office equipment. It is whether a computer, monitor, printer, scanner or multifunction print fax, you can expect that about 50% or more on your energy saving. Modern Energy Star can use computers, the power of 70% less than those who have this rating, mainly because of its low-power run mode when the computer is idle, it can. Additional advantages of ENERGY STAR equipment including noise and heat generation and the emission of electromagnetic fields at least reduce some monitors.

Even with Energy Star equipment and possible low-power standby mode, you may find that some equipment not used heavily can only be on when in use and then manually turned off. Most newer computers have programmable energy-saving features that turn off your monitor and put your computer in standby when you step away. This helps to save energy, a screen saver that does not work against it. You will wear prematurely on your computer system or other equipment, if you do not rely on it all day, if it is used or not.

Even if you work from home, the treatment of space as if you were far away and lock all doors and windows before work. You do not have the burden to constantly monitor home security. Also turn off all appliances and a TV that is not part of your work environment. Unplug all chargers that do not have to pay for the batteries, phantom to reduce stress.

To store the heat, cooling and lighting, you want to work in a small area of the house, if possible, not the entire structure. Use natural light whenever possible and try to direct lighting instead of lighting throughout the room. Adjust heat up with a small electric stove, where you work, instead of heating the whole house at this temperature. With a window air conditioner in the room is cool, that a higher, the thermostat on the unused space in the house during the summer.

There may be some improvements in the house that you will save energy and improve your level of comfort at work. Be sure to make your home have adequate insulation and repair of cracks, holes, or projects, the air leakage or intrusion. So you have not, use compact fluorescent lamp help to your electricity bill.

Follow these tips and you’ll discover that in May reduce your energy consumption, while work from home I feel like once even raise anything.

Are you considering putting your house up for sale, but not sure where to start? Afraid it will take too long to sell, or that you won’t get the price you want? Think about “staging” your home, or in other words, setting the scene for immediate buyer interest in your property.

To be really effective, you need to look at both the outside and the inside of your home. Here are 3 tips to get you started with the outside of your home:

1. Go stand on the street to see what clients see when driving up to the house. Be aware that any negative impressions they get outside the house (landscaping not maintained or non-existent, peeling paint, etc.) is just going to make them think that the house itself has not been well taken care of. So even if you have spent the time and money to fix up the interior, it would all be wasted if the clients get a bad first impression as they drive up to the house.

2. Next, step outside your front door and close the door; then stand on the stoop and look around for 5 minutes. While the realtor fumbles for keys and tries to figure out how to open the door, the clients are standing behind and looking around. So what are they seeing? Dead plants, old Halloween decorations in the middle of January, cobwebs? Again, not a good first impression!

It’s definitely worth it to take some time and clean it up. Want to go a step further? Try a new coat of paint or some new furniture or accessories.

3. Don’t forget the backyard. While that might not be part of the potential buyers’ first impression experience, you still should make sure it’s in the best condition possible. Pull up weeds, water plants, do some sweeping (if that’s applicable in your case) and maybe even purchase new furniture or accessories (plant pots, bird houses, etc.)

And the biggest tip of all? Imagine yourself as a potential buyer looking at your property for the very first time. What impressions are you getting? Would YOU buy your house? What would you like to see changed before you put an offer on your house?

And don’t worry about spending several thousand dollars to get your house ready to sell – you’ll get it all back when your house sells. Proper staging helps you sell your house in a shorter time and at the price you want.
