The NFL is considering a crackdown on a critical issue that is plaguing the league.  Human Growth Hormone?  Homophobic bar incidents? Wife-beating?  Defensive Linemen on Dancing With the Stars? No.

Long hair.

The Kansas City Chiefs have proposed a rule that would prevent players having hair that covers the name on the back of the players’ jersey.

The Chiefs have such a policy already, and, in true Puritan fashion, they want to prevent others from having fun as well.

There is no empirical evidence that the hair presents a safety issue, just an excuse for the man to gleefully crackdown on long-haired hippies like Troy Polamalu.

Some might say that since this rule would only affect black players, it would be racist.

But, that is ridiculous.  The NFL loves it’s black men – behaved, strong, and faceless.
