This perhaps wasn’t the most skillful, but it was the most important. Carlos Tevez’s goal (his 6th in the last 9 games of the season) just before the end of the first half was the difference in their famous though surprisingly predictable 1-0 victory over the Man United Reserve Squad at Old Trafford. The win was the fourth in a row and seventh in nine games for the Hammers, in a miraculous run that vaulted themselves to 41 pts and out of the relegation zone.
